Episode 10 – State Fair!

Mel and Deborah celebrate their tenth episode with a visit to Rhinebeck for the NY Sheep & Wool Festival.
The knitters (and hippies) come out in force! Mel thinks that everyone is crazy.
(Seriously…that auctioneer isn’t using words. Is that what it sounds like when someone speaks in tongues?)
Rhinebeck seems to be the ultimate pick-up joint, for a bargain!
Melanie would rather be hooking…and would prefer to be warm. Maybe both at the same time.
Interviews With:
Claudia from Eastport Yarns (eastportyarns.com)
Truffles, the surrey alpaca
Margaret from Green Mountain Spinneries

Big thanks to all of our guests!

Thanks so much for a WONDERFUL podcast. Love your humor, the fun in your relationship, and the music introducing, linking and transitioning each segment. Thanks Deborah for your knowledge of knitting and thanks Melanie for your perspective on knitting – you make me laugh out loud each segment.
Great productions and please keep them coming!

‘Breakneck’ rhymes with ‘Rhinebeck’.
Thanks for the podcast! I enjoyed listening to myself and my friends gush about our finds of the day, and hearing the wonderful recordings of the sheep “Mhaaaaaaaah!”

Thanks for commenting – I’m so glad you like it! I’ve been having a great time picking music, so I’m glad someone approves. With so many projects on the go, I ‘m surprised Deborah stops knitting long enough to force me to DO a podcast, but somehow she finds the time. There’s another one coming…in just a few days, actually.

I’m enjoying the podcast, and particularly liked the show from Rhinebeck. I work in Poughkeepsie and live locally, but had to be in Albuquerque for work the weekend of fair, so thanks for letting me live vicariously through you! I’d love to hear Melanie sing – can you include it on a podcast? Or, if you already are, please mention it!

Thank you so much for commenting! I won’t tell you how often I check to see if there are any new comments…let’s just say that my ‘reload’ finger is getting a lot of exercise!
My webpage is: http://www.melaniegall.com and there is some music on there…also, I do sing on 2 of the podcasts…no, three. I think #1, #11 and maybe #9? It is in the shownotes. Keep listening, and feel free to comment on anything (especially the newest episode. It is the most fun I had in a long time putting it together, and I don’t even know yet if people like it or hate it!)
